Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of intricate projects within the Grid Automation solutions sector

• Ensure project objectives align with broader business goals

• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for projects

• Uphold safety and quality standards throughout the project execution process

• Collaborate with clients, vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams

• Clearly communicate and manage expectations during all project phases

• Foster customer relationships to ensure satisfaction

• Create comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource distributions

• Utilize planning and scheduling tools to track progress and manage the critical path

• Work alongside Engineering and Services to enhance project resource utilization

• Develop work breakdown structures and monitor Earned Value/Budgeted Cost of Work Performed

• Establish savings strategies and optimize variation orders

• Identify, evaluate, and address project risks

• Execute contingency plans as necessary

• Confirm that deliverables meet quality benchmarks and regulatory standards

• Conduct reviews and audits of project execution

• Prepare and deliver status reports to senior management and stakeholders

• Maintain thorough and precise project documentation

• Implement and deliver complex Grid Automation projects that involve protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, telecom equipment, and application servers

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline

• At least 7 years of experience in project management within the energy or Grid Automation industry

• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multifaceted projects

• Experience with protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, and telecom equipment is highly desirable

• PMP or an equivalent certification is preferred

• Additional certifications in Grid Automation or related technologies are advantageous

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in project management tools and software such as MS Project and Jira

• Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills

• Willingness to travel to customer sites and offices as required by the project plan, approximately 20%

• In-depth understanding of Grid Automation solutions and industry standards

• Experience with telecom equipment and network infrastructure

• Familiarity with automation algorithms and human-machine interfaces

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable
