Senior Project Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of intricate projects within the Grid Automation solutions sector.

• Ensure alignment of project objectives with the overarching business goals.

• Manage the budgets, timelines, and resources associated with projects.

• Maintain safety and quality standards throughout the project execution process.

• Collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

• Clearly communicate and manage expectations during all phases of the project lifecycle.

• Foster strong customer relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Create comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, and allocate resources accordingly.

• Utilize planning and scheduling tools to track progress, manage the critical path, and ensure timely project delivery.

• Optimize resource utilization in collaboration with Engineering and Services teams.

• Develop work breakdown structures and track Earned Value/Budgeted Cost of Work Performed.

• Establish cost-saving strategies and maximize variation orders during project execution.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks effectively.

• Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.

• Ensure that deliverables conform to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular reviews and audits of project execution.

• Prepare and present status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

• Maintain thorough and accurate project documentation.

• Communicate project progress to customers, end users, internal team members, and leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 7 years of project management experience in the energy or Grid Automation sector.

• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-dimensional projects.

• Familiarity with protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, and telecom equipment is highly sought after.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.

• Additional certifications in Grid Automation or related technologies are advantageous.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Proficient in project management tools and software, including MS Project and Jira.

• Possess an analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites and offices as needed by the project plan, approximately 20% of the time.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Grid Automation solutions and industry standards.

• Experience with telecom equipment and network infrastructure is beneficial.

• Understanding of automation algorithms and human-machine interfaces is required.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
