Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive Oracle Database initiatives, infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, modernization efforts, and transformation assignments for clients worldwide.

• Direct projects through all phases, including assessment, planning, design, migration, testing, cutover, hypercare, and transition to operational status.

• Handle multiple simultaneous projects or programs, managing an overall portfolio valued at approximately $5M–$10M.

• Take responsibility for project scope, timelines, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, quality assurance, governance, and client commitments.

• Manage project finances, which includes tracking budgets, forecasting, invoicing, visibility into revenue/cost, resource utilization, Service Delivery KPIs, and reviewing team timesheets.

• Lead discussions with clients, conduct project reviews, facilitate steering committees, provide executive updates, manage risks, and handle escalations.

• Oversee complex multi-vendor settings that include clients, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle, partners, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams.

• Manage Statements of Work (SOW) commitments, milestones, deliverables, change controls, and change orders.

• Collaborate with various commercial models such as Fixed Price, Time and Materials (T&M), milestone-based, and Managed Services.

• Work alongside Oracle DBAs, cloud architects, infrastructure engineers, application teams, security specialists, and migration experts.

• Support funding initiatives for AWS, Oracle, and Azure migration/modernization projects.

• Ensure the seamless transition of migrated environments into Managed Services and ongoing operational stability.

• Potentially oversee a portfolio of Managed Service Provider (MSP) clients in addition to implementation projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

• 10-15 years of experience in IT Project/Program Management, ideally within IT Consulting or Professional Services.

• Significant experience with Oracle Database and infrastructure migrations from on-premises to AWS, OCI, and/or Azure/GCP.

• At least 5 years of experience working with Azure, OCI, AWS, or Engineered Systems (any combination).

• Advanced technical knowledge of Oracle Database architecture, migration methodologies, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR), backup/recovery, and production operations.

• Proven experience managing project/program portfolios in the $5M-$10M range.

• Experience in managing client-facing consulting projects and multi-vendor delivery environments.

• PMP certification or an equivalent recognized credential is required.

• Familiarity with AI/Generative AI and automation technologies.

• Must possess authorization to work without current or future employer sponsorship.

• Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, Fresh Service, Microsoft Project Plans, or similar.

• Well-versed in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.

• AWS/Azure cloud certifications and/or ITIL certification are preferred.
