Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead projects and provide coaching and advice to leaders regarding strategy and the alignment of organizational workflows.

• Design, implement, and oversee strategies and tactics that support CalMHSA's objectives.

• Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, scope, and established standards.

• Create detailed project plans that align member needs with organizational goals.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for designated projects.

• Coordinate tasks, internal resources, and third-party vendors throughout all project phases.

• Monitor project performance, schedules, budgets, and scope using appropriate project management tools.

• Generate status reports and communications regarding project progress.

• Engage with stakeholders to identify issues, devise solutions, and enhance efficiency.

• Define project scopes and objectives while ensuring technical feasibility.

• Guarantee the availability and allocation of resources.

• Manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs, as well as risks and project performance.

• Report and escalate issues to management as necessary.

• Cultivate relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for projects.

• Safeguard confidential information regarding counties, employee demographics, and private behavioral health data.

• Undertake additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Medi-Cal behavioral health, ideally within County Government.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and eight (8) years of progressive Project Management experience, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

• PMP or Scrum Master certification is advantageous.

• Background in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis.

• Demonstrated experience in project management.

• Familiarity with organizational design, alignment, and change methodologies.

• In-depth understanding of project management principles.

• Proficiency with databases, networks, operating systems, platforms, and the software development life cycle.

• Knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Resourceful, detail-oriented, and well-organized.

• Commitment to confidentiality and integrity.

• Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

• Legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

• Willingness to travel or commute as needed.

• Capability to effectively manage computer software, hardware, and networks.

• Proficient in CRM, Microsoft, Oracle, and Cisco products.

• Familiarity with SQL and database operations.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and respond appropriately in both written and verbal communications.

• Competence in performing basic mathematical operations.

• Exceptional analytical and research skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Capacity to lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle on public roads and highways.
