Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of intricate, high-impact new product development initiatives.

• Guide various cross-functional teams through the new product development process, from concept to retail launch.

• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet specifications.

• Oversee and advance several large or complex new product development programs through the Phase Gate process.

• Create and manage integrated timelines while anticipating potential delivery risks.

• Lead cross-functional teams in making trade-off decisions that protect timing, cost, and scope.

• Assist in defining and refining new product development gates and milestones as the Project Management Office matures.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, Quality, and Creative teams.

• Conduct impactful meetings to drive decision-making and ensure alignment.

• Identify, evaluate, and manage risks across programs that have significant business implications.

• Develop mitigation and contingency plans and escalate issues as necessary.

• Provide strategic project updates to cross-functional leaders and stakeholders.

• Communicate risks, trade-offs, and recommendations effectively to influence alignment and decisions.

• Enhance Project Management Office processes, tools, and standards.

• Identify systemic gaps and implement improvements for predictable, efficient, and scalable product launches.

• Design, pilot, and advocate for Project Management Office tools, templates, and communication schedules.

• Shape operational standards and demonstrate the strategic value of project management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Typically 7–10+ years of professional experience, including substantial ownership of complex new product development programs.

• Expert-level proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software.

• Capability to manage multiple large or complex new product development programs concurrently through the Phase Gate process.

• Advanced skills in risk management and mitigation planning.

• Strong strategic verbal and written communication abilities across all organizational levels.

• Deep understanding of Brand, Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, Quality, and other partner functions.

• Ability to excel in high-pressure, rapidly changing environments with competing priorities.

• Skill in navigating complex, high-stakes conflicts and influencing outcomes without formal authority.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.
