Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assume full accountability for the successful delivery of intricate technology implementation projects.

• Oversee multiple Blackbaud Professional Services engagements simultaneously, ranging from smaller prescriptive projects to large-scale enterprise implementations.

• Create and sustain project plans that encompass outcomes, scope, responsibilities, resources, milestones, dependencies, and governance.

• Track delivery against timelines, budgets, and success criteria, implementing corrective measures when projects deviate from their course.

• Recognize and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.

• Manage project scope, budget, forecasts, and resource needs.

• Handle out-of-scope work through change control processes.

• Draft change requests and Statements of Work in collaboration with subject-matter experts.

• Assist Sales with project scoping, estimation, and delivery planning.

• Facilitate project kick-offs and represent Blackbaud in project boards, steering committees, and governance forums.

• Cultivate relationships with customer sponsors, executives, and project teams.

• Guide customers and project teams through complex decisions, changes, and competing priorities.

• Provide reporting to customers, internal stakeholders, and senior management.

• Collaborate with Consulting, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Support teams.

• Offer guidance, coaching, and support to the broader delivery team.

• Maintain precise project documentation.

• Apply and enhance Blackbaud's delivery methodologies.

• Design and implement adoption programs from initial onboarding to sustained, outcome-based usage.

• Facilitate benefits realization and customer value derived from Blackbaud solutions.

• Promote adoption across the Professional Services portfolio using tools, webinars, and user groups alongside Customer Success Managers.

• Report on program outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing technology implementations or similarly complex Professional Services engagements.

• Strong grasp of project management methodologies, governance, and the software implementation lifecycle.

• Experience in managing project scope, schedules, budgets, forecasts, resources, risks, and change control.

• Solid commercial awareness and experience working within contracted customer engagements.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring attention to detail.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders.

• Strong customer-centric approach and ability to establish credibility and trust.

• Sound judgment and confidence in making decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.

• Familiarity with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to appropriately utilize approved AI tools while ensuring human oversight, data protection, accuracy, and adherence to Blackbaud’s responsible AI principles.

• Experience working with or for non-profit organizations is preferred.

• Familiarity with Blackbaud products is a plus.

• A recognized project management qualification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent, is preferred.
