This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
β’ Act as a design authority within an engineering discipline.
β’ Complete tasks across multiple moderate-sized projects or segments of significant projects in a cost-efficient manner.
β’ Ensure that all tasks adhere to contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.
β’ Take ownership of project design and coordinate design-related deliverables.
β’ Serve as the technical lead with clients to shape and deliver solutions while gathering feedback for enhancements.
β’ Maintain regular communication with clients and project participants to address issues and identify additional business opportunities.
β’ Lead data center solutions that include Ehouse, medium-voltage switchgear, switchboards, transformers, and related electrical equipment.
β’ Ensure compliance with Electrical, IEC, NEC, IEEE, and UL standards.
β’ Manage customer expectations and control engineering change orders.
β’ Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and testing teams to prepare and execute FAT and IFAT.
β’ Review designs and documentation for accuracy, maintain design modifications, and identify and mitigate technical risks.
β’ Mentor junior engineers and document best practices.
β’ Stay updated on data center trends, assess design methodologies, and contribute to process improvements.
β’ Report to the Engineering Team Lead - Data Center.
β’ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and skills.
β’ Knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure.
β’ Experience with Ehouse and Modular systems.
β’ Over 5 years of relevant engineering experience in electrical power systems and project engineering.
β’ Strong understanding of MV/LV switchgear, protections, controls, automation, and integration within Power Distribution Centers.
β’ Familiarity with transformers, drives, motors, bus duct, cables, and related equipment.
β’ Ability to design and calculate electrical systems for integrated Power Distribution Centers, including cable sizing, conduit fill, voltage drop, breaker sizing, and overall HVβLV distribution.
β’ Proficient in creating, modifying, and reviewing electrical drawings (single-line, three-line, schematics, interconnections, wire lists).
β’ Experience in validating vendor/customer designs, protection schemes, and metering.
β’ Working knowledge of IEEE/ANSI, NEMA, NETA, API, PIP, NEC/NESC standards and codes.
β’ Capable of influencing senior stakeholders and clients.
β’ Basic understanding of battery storage, chargers, and UPS systems.
β’ Willingness to travel overnight up to 30% of the time.
β’ Authorized to work in the US.
