This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Manage a complex, multi-faceted program from inception to completion with external clients.
• Establish program controls and monitor milestones across various projects.
• Actively address program-level risks and challenges.
• Set up technical, architectural, and delivery governance frameworks.
• Implement consistent reporting and compliance measures.
• Lead stakeholder interactions from C-suite executives to delivery teams and clients.
• Ensure deliverables are in alignment with planned outcomes and quality benchmarks.
• Take ownership of the program roadmap, controls, cadence, KPIs/OKRs, and standardized reporting.
• Coordinate project managers, vendors, and client teams across diverse work streams.
• Oversee interdependencies, schedules, resources, budgets, and technologies.
• Maintain centralized risk registers and develop contingency plans.
• Manage budget, ROI, and overall outcomes.
• Provide updates that are ready for executive review.
• Customize communications for executives and delivery teams.
• Facilitate change control and ensure team alignment.
• Standardize and enforce processes and templates.
• Guarantee benefits realization and uphold high delivery standards.
• Employ process engineering and continuous improvement practices from program design through execution.
• Address scope changes, delays, and unforeseen challenges with structured solutions.
• Over 10 years of experience in program management.
• Proven experience overseeing multi-stream projects with globally distributed teams.
• Background in managing programs involving more than 50 team members and multiple project managers.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related discipline.
• PMP certification required.
• Experience with hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodologies in large-scale programs.
• Proficient in developing governance frameworks, including steering committees or compliance processes.
• Familiarity with MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Excel, and PPM tools like Mavenlink/Kantata.
• Experience in constructing dashboards and status reports.
• Skilled in creating WBS and dependency maps.
• Knowledge of standardized processes, program charters, and risk logs.
• Ability to align roadmaps with contractual and business objectives.
• Experience in driving benefits realization.
• Proficient in proactive RAID management, PMI-style risk frameworks, and contingency planning.
• Expertise in executive-ready communications, RACI, conflict resolution, and leadership across distributed teams.
• Experience managing program budgets, expenditures, cost adjustments, and complex financial modeling.
• Knowledge of Fixed Price, T&M, milestone-based payments, revenue recognition, fixed monthly fees, and expense recovery.
• Proven ability to own budgets and resource plans while leading change control.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Familiarity with application modernization or the ability to quickly adapt to new sectors.
• Strong negotiation skills are a must.
• Experience working with C-Suite stakeholders.
