Senior Programmer – IBM iSeries, RPG IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze and address technical system and application challenges.

• Document discoveries and propose effective solutions to enhance business operations.

• Oversee the continuous operation and upkeep of the IBM iSeries platform.

• Lead projects from inception through to implementation.

• Efficiently manage resources and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

• Design application solutions for existing applications, software, and operating systems.

• Keep abreast of current system enhancements.

• Collaborate with network personnel to guarantee the reliable operation of software and systems.

• Conduct programming across all technical phases.

• Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the IBM iSeries system.

• Develop and execute strategies to enhance or utilize IBM iSeries systems for business processes.

• Create and implement both manual and automated procedures to address business opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Over 5 years of programming experience in iSeries.

• Strong expertise in RPG ILE, RPG, CL, Query, DBU, SQL, and DDS.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in teams, and self-motivation.

• Demonstrated analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with the WebSmart development tool is advantageous.
