This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee operational execution, financial performance, and strategic relationships with utility partners across the Northeast region.
• Function as the commercial and operational lead for a multi-megawatt portfolio.
• Work collaboratively with teams in Data Science, Product & Engineering, Business Development, Policy, Marketing, and Customer Excellence.
• Manage P&L performance for active open market bring-your-own-device initiatives, including ConnectedSolutions, CT Energy Storage Solutions, and NY DLC / Pilot Programs.
• Act as the main operational relationship manager and subject matter expert for Northeast utility partners and program administrators.
• Guide contractual and regulatory compliance, reporting SLAs, conditions precedent, and monthly/seasonal settlement reconciliations.
• Ensure complete revenue capture.
• Maintain technical alignment with third-party DERMS administrators to facilitate program entry and direct integrations.
• Prepare program operations for next-generation capabilities, encompassing locational delivery, solar sponging, target power commands, and automated dispatch output curves.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Policy on program performance, regional expansions, new program designs, operational modeling, customer analytics, and program boundaries.
• Supervise customer participation journeys, POS terms and conditions, care agents for new enrollments, and the launch of new products.
• Create reporting metrics for both internal leaders and external reporting and advocacy needs.
• Take full P&L responsibility for the Northeast regional portfolio.
• Assist Business Development with new contract origination, program launches, and platform productization.
• A minimum of 5 years of Program/Project Management experience in energy markets, utility demand response, Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), or Distributed Energy Resources (DERs).
• Demonstrated understanding of behind-the-meter (BTM) storage assets, DERMS platforms, utility tariff structures, and ISO market mechanics.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in Google Workspace and Salesforce (CRM).
• Basic SQL/data manipulation knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to convert technical data anomalies into actionable business insights.
• Comfortable managing program P&Ls, contractual obligations, and multi-variable financial risks.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and presentation abilities.
• Comfortable representing Sunrun before utility executives, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, Economics, or relevant practical experience.
