Senior Professional Services Engineer – PubSec

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide Professional Services engagements such as installation, migration, training, and advisory services to ensure customers achieve successful results with GitLab, completing projects within scope and on schedule.

• Strategically plan and execute GitLab deployments across various architectures, ranging from single-node Omnibus installations to extensive reference architectures utilizing infrastructure as code and configuration as code methodologies.

• Supervise and execute migrations from various source systems to GitLab SaaS or self-managed GitLab environments.

• Offer technical guidance across the GitLab feature stack while recommending best practices.

• Collaborate with project managers and engagement managers to enhance delivery consistency and maintain project timelines.

• Manage and oversee multiple customer projects concurrently while achieving utilization and delivery objectives.

• Mentor and support fellow Professional Services Engineers.

• Work in conjunction with GitLab product and engineering teams to eliminate customer obstacles and enhance features and delivery procedures.

• Serve as a feedback conduit by relaying customer insights to product and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience with one or more infrastructure as code or configuration as code tools, including Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef.

• An active Secrets or TS/SCI clearance, or equivalent, is necessary for this role due to the nature of the customers you will support.

• Occasional travel to SCIF sites may be required.

• Preferred locations include DC Metro, GA, TX, AL, CO, or UT.

• To comply with government security protocols, you must be a United States Citizen (defined as any individual who is a citizen of the United States by law, birth, or naturalization) to qualify for this position.

• Ability to assist public sector customers with TS/SCI clearance-related needs for their environments and engagements.

• Capability to lead technical delivery from start to finish, encompassing discovery, planning, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
