Generator Winding Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in designing generator windings for both new and refurbished hydro projects across various regions.

• Offer technical support to design engineers, supply chain, manufacturing facilities, and site installation teams regarding generator winding topics and insulation systems throughout the project lifecycle.

• Produce generator winding design work packages by adhering to technical guidelines and utilizing reference projects.

• Drive cost reduction initiatives and enhancements related to generator windings.

• Engage in the validation of updates to winding design tools.

• Take part in design review meetings alongside engineers, other departments, and consulting engineers.

• Assist engineers with generator winding design, testing specifications, and discussions with customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.

• At least 2 years of experience in hydro generator winding design and insulation systems.

• Capability to thrive in a multi-cultural and multi-locational environment.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Proficiency in CAD tools.

• Bilingual in French and English.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Team-oriented with a positive outlook and eagerness to learn and adjust to business demands.

• Demonstrated proactiveness, urgency, and independence.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
