Generator Winding Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute design work packages for generator windings by utilizing technical guidelines and reference projects.

• Offer technical assistance to factories, supply chain, and site teams regarding winding matters and insulation systems throughout the project lifecycle.

• Spearhead cost reduction and enhancement initiatives related to generator windings.

• Engage in the validation of updates for winding design tools.

• Take part in design review meetings with engineers, functions, and consulting engineers.

• Assist engineers in generator winding design, testing specifications, and customer interactions.

• Contribute to the design of generator windings for both new and refurbishment hydro projects across various regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.

• At least 2 years of experience in hydro generator winding design and insulation systems.

• Capability to function in a multi-cultural and multi-locational environment.

• Willingness to travel.

• Proficiency in CAD tools.

• Bilingual in French and English.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Team-oriented, positive attitude, and a readiness to learn and adapt to business needs.

• Demonstrated proactiveness, urgency, and autonomy.

• Established communication and leadership capabilities.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screen (if applicable).
