Maintenance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Receive, log, and prioritize repair requests, service inquiries, and support tickets from tenants or occupants.

• Communicate with occupants to collect details, photos, or videos for virtual diagnosis of issues.

• Identify, contact, schedule, and assign suitable third-party vendors or local technicians.

• Coordinate property inspection schedules and manage appointments without physical walk-throughs.

• Act as the primary remote contact for urgent property concerns and dispatch emergency contractors.

• Review vendor job reports, completion notes, and photos to ensure satisfactory completion of work.

• Request quotes, evaluate pricing, monitor service costs, and verify vendor invoices against work orders.

• Maintain an organized database of trusted local service providers, contractors, and suppliers.

• Oversee daily property service requests, vendor dispatch, and operational logistics from a remote setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Customer Service, Dispatch, or Administrative Project Management.

• Proven ability to source, communicate with, schedule, and manage external vendors or service providers remotely.

• Strong diagnostic skills and logical reasoning for remote troubleshooting and identifying practical solutions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize high-urgency requests, track multiple open work orders, and maintain organized digital logs.

• Comfortable learning and utilizing cloud-based software, ticketing platforms, communication tools, and work order management systems.

• Must be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST.

• No temporary workers accepted.

• Must not be employed by another company simultaneously.

• Prohibited from hiring subcontractors to perform duties assigned by the employer.
