Senior Product Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute offensive security operations and engagements for both product and internal tools at Instacart.

• Implement and manage a range of open-source and commercially available security tools that are scalable and sustainable over time.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product, to embed security testing within their Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Share expertise and mentor fellow team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Security Engineering or Penetration Testing, showcasing a solid understanding of product security concepts and principles.

• Proficiency in mobile application penetration testing, AI security testing, or cloud penetration testing.

• Familiarity with threat modeling, security assessments, product security concepts, and security architecture evaluations.

• Capability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize initiatives that enhance key security metrics.

• Ability to balance urgency with the delivery of high-quality and practical solutions.

• Strong self-management and organizational abilities.

• Comprehensive knowledge of effective remediation techniques for various application vulnerabilities and the skill to convey them to product teams.

• Proficient in creating written documentation and detailed technical reports to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and align on security objectives and strategies.
