Senior Product Portfolio Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Serve as a change advocate to promote the adoption of Thrivent’s Product Operating Model.

• Assist leadership with financial management, capacity planning, and asset oversight.

• Collaborate with Product teams, DD&T, Finance, and Human Resources to identify capacity limitations.

• Create reports to aid leaders in tracking progress against capacity challenges.

• Manage financial data to enhance visibility regarding product and portfolio investments.

• Deliver financial insights to help leaders assess portfolio risks and opportunities.

• Utilize expert knowledge in managing product- and portfolio-level finances.

• Develop leadership-focused reports and views for informed decision-making, including for CIO-level executives.

• Suggest areas for investment or constraints to maximize value realization.

• Facilitate planning and portfolio governance processes.

• Collaborate with Finance on financial forecasting and strategic long-term financial planning.

• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize complexity.

• Work alongside product coaches and portfolio leaders to advance portfolio management practices.

• Offer guidance, support, and data for decision-making across all governance tiers.

• Act as a key collaborator with Product Portfolio leadership on capacity and asset management.

• Function effectively in a matrix environment, influencing both upward and outward.

• Partner with VPs, Directors, Managers, Finance, Human Resources, Product Coaches, and Agile Coaches.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Experience in a product operating model.

• Background in Investment/Financial Management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Skilled in communication between technology, finance, and HR leadership.

• Capability to manage ambiguity and spearhead change initiatives.

• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a commitment to learning and improvement.

• Strong customer focus and a sense of urgency.

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
