Senior Product Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Implement AI-assisted development methodologies to prototype, validate, and deliver production-ready solutions.

• Discover areas where software, automation, data, or AI can enhance operational efficiency, product quality, or revenue generation.

• Take ownership of solutions from initial discovery and scoping to architecture, implementation, deployment, measurement, and iteration.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to grasp issues, define solutions, communicate trade-offs, and assess outcomes.

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications, backend services, automation, and internal tools.

• Contribute to architectural choices, technical strategy, and the long-term evolution of the platform.

• Engage with cloud infrastructure and edge platforms, including AWS and Cloudflare.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.

• Conduct code reviews, uphold engineering standards, and mentor fellow engineers.

• Assess technologies, AI capabilities, and development practices to enhance team effectiveness and engineering leverage.

• Must be authorized to work in India at the time of hiring and throughout the duration of employment.

• Pre-employment screening is mandatory.

• Capable of independently delivering complex software systems and achieving business outcomes with minimal supervision.

• Ability to transition from ambiguous business challenges to deployed solutions while collaborating with stakeholders.

• Skills to evaluate build-vs-buy decisions and utilize existing platforms, automation, and AI.

• Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools in production while ensuring quality, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment.

• Experience in building and maintaining production web applications.

• Familiarity with modern application frameworks like Laravel or similar.

• Experience in designing and implementing experimentation and A/B testing frameworks such as PostHog or similar.

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Cloudflare or comparable platforms.

• Solid experience with relational databases and optimizing queries within and beyond ORMs.

• Proficient with Git-based workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.

• Self-motivated, highly autonomous, and comfortable in a remote-first environment.

• Experience with PHP, Python, TypeScript, Laravel, Astro, AWS, Cloudflare, MySQL, Datadog, PostHog, LLM APIs, embeddings, RAG architectures, agent frameworks, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or orchestration is advantageous but not mandatory.
