Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI-assisted development methodologies to prototype, validate, and deliver production-ready solutions.

• Recognize business opportunities where software, automation, data, or AI can enhance operational efficiency, product development, or revenue generation.

• Take ownership of solutions from the initial discovery and scoping phase through to architecture, implementation, deployment, assessment, and iteration.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define solutions, discuss trade-offs, and evaluate outcomes.

• Design, develop, and sustain full-stack applications, backend services, automation processes, and internal tools.

• Participate in architectural decision-making, technical strategy formulation, and platform evolution.

• Engage with cloud infrastructure and edge platforms, including AWS and Cloudflare.

• Oversee monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancement of reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.

• Conduct code reviews, adhere to engineering standards, and provide mentorship to fellow engineers.

• Assess technologies, AI capabilities, and development practices to boost team effectiveness and engineering leverage.

• Work as an individual contributor within a distributed team across discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, and continuous iteration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the Philippines at the time of hire and throughout employment; employer work visa sponsorship and support are not available.

• Proven ability to transition from ambiguous business challenges to deployed solutions while collaborating with stakeholders.

• Established track record of independently delivering complex software systems and achieving business outcomes with limited oversight.

• Strong decision-making skills regarding build-vs-buy scenarios and utilizing existing platforms, automation, and AI.

• Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools in production while ensuring quality, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment to validate, refine, and enhance AI-generated solutions.

• Experience in building and maintaining production-level web applications.

• Familiarity with modern application frameworks such as Laravel or comparable technologies.

• Experience in designing and implementing experimentation and A/B testing frameworks like PostHog or similar tools.

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure including AWS or Cloudflare.

• Solid experience with relational databases, including writing and optimizing queries both within and outside ORMs.

• Proficiency in Git-based workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.

• Strong communication skills and effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a globally distributed organization.

• Self-motivated, highly autonomous, and comfortable in a remote-first work environment.
