Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Investigate design challenges, explore various approaches, assess tradeoffs, and arrive at well-reasoned design conclusions.

• Clearly communicate design choices, alternatives explored, and deliberate exclusions.

• Convert technically complex product ideas into intuitive user experiences.

• Design for both admin and end-user personas, considering their distinct mental models, workflows, and risk tolerances.

• Minimize cognitive load while preserving functionality.

• Take ownership of and enhance a design system and component library across Windows, Mac, web, and mobile platforms.

• Implement platform-specific design standards while ensuring a cohesive PreVeil identity.

• Manage the entire design lifecycle from discovery and user research to wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity design, and developer-ready handoff.

• Generate clear and comprehensive specifications for engineering teams.

• Utilize AI tools to expedite iteration and explore new ideas.

• Conduct and synthesize user research effectively.

• Incorporate evidence of user needs into design decisions and recognize behavioral patterns.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, communicate effectively, present work early, and iterate based on feedback.

• Deliver top-notch designs, fulfill commitments, and proactively address issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of product design experience, with a portfolio showcasing strong design judgment and expertise in enterprise UX.

• Proven experience in designing enterprise software, preferably in the realm of collaboration or productivity tools.

• Ability to distill complex systems into clear, user-friendly experiences.

• In-depth understanding of cross-platform design standards: Windows, Mac, web, and mobile.

• Experience in owning and scaling design systems and component libraries.

• Familiarity with designing for various personas, including admins and end-users.

• Proficient in Figma.

• Actively use AI tools to enhance and refine design work.

• Comfortable working independently amidst ambiguity and in fast-paced settings, with a strong propensity for action.

• Excellent and persuasive communication skills.

• Collaborative, dependable, and low-ego approach to teamwork.

• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and React is a plus.

• Experience in a fast-paced startup or growth-stage environment is advantageous.

• Strong initiative and a proactive attitude are beneficial.

• Background in designing for technically sophisticated or security-conscious users is a plus.
