This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the complete production process for one or more game projects, features, or development teams.
• Collaborate with creative, technical, and production leadership to convert the game vision into executable development strategies.
• Develop, contribute to, and uphold project roadmaps, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and priorities.
• Evaluate and authorize milestones for projects developed externally.
• Facilitate coordination across various disciplines, ensuring teams have the necessary information and resources.
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and resource limitations before they impact delivery or release timelines.
• Provide leadership with concise verbal and written updates on team and feature progress, risks, and critical decisions.
• Identify and assess co-development partners for specific project collaborations.
• Maintain relationships with development partners and publishers.
• Mentor and coach individuals by setting expectations, leveraging strengths, and addressing areas for improvement.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in game development, including substantial production or project management experience on internal game teams and/or overseeing external work-for-hire or co-development partners.
• Proven experience in shipping at least 3 PC or console games in a senior production or leadership capacity.
• Familiarity with at least one complete game development lifecycle from inception through launch to live support.
• Experience in identifying and vetting external partners.
• Proficient in milestone setting and review processes.
• Capable of tracking risks effectively.
• Experience collaborating with internal legal and business development teams on contract establishment and statements of work.
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and the game development process.
• Exceptional situational awareness and judgment, especially in high-pressure circumstances.
• A strong passion for mentoring and developing individual contributors and teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to manage relationships both upwards and downwards, internally and with external partners.
