Senior Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and develop innovative AI-driven capabilities that enhance existing tools.

• Identify and suggest small, targeted prototype solutions to address known needs.

• Engage in significant research to explore potential solutions.

• Design and architect proofs of concept to validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions.

• Take part in architectural discussions with the PA and implement prioritized features.

• Create robust, high-quality software that focuses on user needs and delivers timely products.

• Develop and incorporate automated testing into the product's codebase.

• Regularly manage and refine the feature backlog.

• Perform tasks within a sprint-driven framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance; only U.S. Citizens are eligible for security clearances.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or four years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering or a similar full-time role.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also executing tasks independently.

• Proficient in Golang and Python programming languages.

• Experience in contributing to or leading the design of new capabilities.

• Familiarity with agentic development and applying LLMs, embeddings, and smaller trained models to analytics, including thorough evaluation of accuracy, uncertainty, and limitations.

• Experience in API/SDK development.

• Proven experience working with software integrators to troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges.

• Experience using a version control system, such as GitLab.

• Nice-to-have: Proficiency in containerization using Docker or Podman.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with GitLab CI pipelines.

• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of gRPC / Protobuf.

• Nice-to-have: Experience in database development with SQLite / PostgreSQL.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with Kubernetes deployment.

• Desired: Familiarity with the Cyber Operations Domain.

• Desired: Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework.
