This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Act as the main customer-facing engineer for designated accounts and potential clients.
• Hold ultimate technical accountability for the satisfaction and welfare of customers and prospects.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers in a typical 1:1 sales team partnership.
• Present HPE Networking solutions to inform and educate customers and prospects.
• Comprehend customer applications and recommend suitable HPE Networking solutions.
• Maintain ongoing communication and coordinate tasks with Territory Managers.
• Document technical meeting notes and follow up on technical matters.
• Advise clients on best practices for deployment and ensure that delivery teams prepare and test implementations.
• Keep current customers updated on changes within the HPE Networking portfolio.
• Direct customers towards relevant HPE Networking training programs.
• Keep an updated home lab and showcase solutions through the SEEL lab or personal lab.
• Escalate technical and business concerns to Product Line Managers and Systems Engineer Managers.
• Conduct proof-of-concept testing, including planning, configuring, and managing hardware returns.
• Create and validate Bills of Material.
• Oversee the Technical Assistance Center for critical cases and manage escalations.
• Participate in troubleshooting or serve as on-site support for critical cases when necessary.
• Collaborate with HPE Networking resellers on customer initiatives and projects.
• Uphold professional standards in punctuality, calendar management, email signatures, and customer interactions.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 5 days a week to customer locations within the Eastern Pennsylvania area.
• Over 8 years of technical experience in Enterprise IT, concentrating on technical consulting and solution selling.
• At least 8 years of experience in networking.
• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Science/Analytics, or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Industry certifications such as Aruba, Juniper, or Cisco are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in HPE Networking solutions.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions both verbally and in writing.
• Experience aligning networking products with customer environments and needs.
• Capability to perform proof-of-concept configuration and testing.
• Skills to create test plans and define success criteria.
• Ability to produce accurate Bills of Material (BOMs).
