Presales Storage Architect – Unstructured Data, Hybrid Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with customers to design and architect scalable file and object storage solutions.

• Facilitate solution workshops, assessments, and proofs of concept to validate technical compatibility and performance.

• Offer subject matter expertise on NFS, SMB, S3, and object storage technologies.

• Assist customers in validating storage architectures tailored for AI inferencing and RAG workloads.

• Design and document enterprise-level file and object storage solutions.

• Conduct POCs to evaluate performance, scalability, and platform integration.

• Create architectures that address throughput, metadata performance, latency optimization, and overall platform efficiency.

• Work closely with product management to gather customer feedback and shape product roadmaps.

• Provide thought leadership, conduct competitive analysis, and develop positioning strategies.

• Present technical solutions to both executive and technical audiences.

• Assist in pre-sales activities, RFIs/RFPs, and solution justification.

• Travel extensively to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in designing and implementing unstructured storage solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Significant customer-facing experience with the design and delivery of technical solutions.

• Proficiency in NFS, SMB, and S3 file/object storage protocols.

• Knowledge of object storage technologies and APIs.

• Experience in planning and executing POCs.

• Hands-on experience with AI data pipelines, including inferencing and RAG.

• Familiarity with storage optimization for large, performance-sensitive unstructured workloads.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness and capability to travel for customer engagements.

• Experience in selling enterprise storage solutions across one or more industry verticals.

• Ability to comprehend vertical-specific business challenges, compliance requirements, and data workloads.

• Proficient with at least one of the following storage platforms: Dell EMC PowerScale/ObjectScale, Pure Storage FlashBlade, NetApp ONTAP (File), NetApp Object Grid, or another enterprise file/object storage platform.
