
Senior Pre-Sales System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
β’ Act as the main customer-facing engineer, holding ultimate technical accountability for customer or prospect satisfaction and wellbeing.
β’ Collaborate with Territory Managers as an integral part of the sales team.
β’ Provide guidance to customers on HPE Networking solutions, aligning the product portfolio with their environments and requirements.
β’ Showcase HPE Networking solutions to customers and prospects.
β’ Document technical meeting notes and follow up on related technical items.
β’ Advise clients on best practices and ensure that delivery teams effectively plan and test deployments.
β’ Keep current customers informed about updates in the HPE Networking portfolio.
β’ Direct customers to suitable HPE Networking training programs.
β’ Maintain an up-to-date home lab and demonstrate solutions via the SEEL lab or a personal lab setup.
β’ Escalate both technical and business concerns to Product Line Managers and Systems Engineer Managers.
β’ Conduct proof-of-concept testing, which includes developing test plans and success criteria, configuring hardware/software, and returning evaluation hardware.
β’ Create and sustain accurate Bills of Material.
β’ Oversee the Technical Assistance Center for critical cases and manage escalations.
β’ Collaborate with HPE resellers to coordinate customer activities and projects.
β’ Uphold professional standards in punctuality, calendar management, email signatures, courtesy, and customer interactions.
β’ Must be willing and able to travel up to 5 days a week to customer locations within the Eastern Pennsylvania territory.
β’ 8+ years of technical experience in Enterprise IT, particularly in technical consulting and solution selling.
β’ 8+ years of experience working with networking.
β’ A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Science/Analytics, or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Industry certifications such as Aruba, Juniper, or Cisco are advantageous but not mandatory.
β’ Capability to act as a subject matter expert on HPE Networking solutions.
β’ Proficient in articulating HPE Networking solutions both verbally and in writing.
