Senior Power BI, Data Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.

• Develop and optimize data models utilizing Power BI and Power Query.

• Create data processing and automation solutions using Python.

• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for reporting and analytical tasks.

• Utilize Databricks and modern analytics platforms for scalable reporting and data-driven decision-making.

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.

• Translate business needs into technical and analytical solutions.

• Support intuitive and user-friendly analytical interfaces.

• Communicate technical concepts, opportunities, and constraints to non-technical stakeholders.

• Facilitate discussions and workshops with both business and technical teams.

• Back continuous improvement of data products and analytics services.

• Collaborate with stakeholders in an international and multicultural setting.

• Advocate for analytics best practices, data quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

• Ensure that activities adhere to regulatory requirements and support the implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.

• A minimum of six (6) years of experience in data management and software development after completing university studies.

• Proficiency in two or more of the following: business intelligence tools, data visualization, controlled terminologies, business glossaries and ontologies, data architectures, data integration pipelines, data validation processes and pipelines, and master data management.

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, encompassing data modeling, Power Query, dashboard and report development, and semantic models.

• Extensive experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting solutions.

• Familiarity with Databricks, SQL, Python, cloud-based analytics environments, and containerized platforms employing Kubernetes.

• Experience with data integration and analytics platforms.

• Proven ability to gather and document business requirements from both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capability to translate business needs into technical deliverables and analytical solutions.

• Experience in developing or supporting analytical and user-facing reporting interfaces.

• Ability to articulate technical concepts to business audiences.

• Familiarity with modern BI and data engineering practices.

• Proficient in facilitating discussions and workshops with business and technical stakeholders in English.

• Fluency in English at C1 level or higher according to the CEFR.

• Preferred: experience in international, regulated, or public-sector environments; enterprise-scale analytics initiatives; cloud-based analytics and data platforms; AI-assisted analytics, advanced reporting, or data-driven automation; data governance or data product management concepts.
