Senior Power BI Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, implementation, and upkeep of intricate business intelligence and data visualization solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI and associated Microsoft technologies.

• Create and produce advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and visual data representations.

• Generate sophisticated data transformation and analytical solutions using Power Query, DAX, and other relevant tools.

• Examine complex datasets to uncover significant patterns, trends, relationships, and opportunities.

• Utilize advanced analytical techniques and emerging AI technologies to improve business intelligence capabilities.

• Manage significant technical projects involving business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, and analytics solutions across various projects.

• Assess business intelligence solution performance and suggest enhancements to usability, efficiency, scalability, and business value.

• Act as a technical authority and subject matter expert for Power BI, data analysis, business intelligence, and related technologies.

• Offer technical advice on data analysis and business intelligence strategies, methodologies, and best practices.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, technical teams, and leadership to convert business goals into analytical solutions.

• Create and relay data-driven insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Establish and advocate for standards in Power BI development, data visualization, analytical methodologies, and business intelligence practices.

• Assess new business intelligence, analytics, and AI technologies for integration into Nüvitek solutions.

• Provide technical leadership during the design, development, implementation, testing, and deployment of solutions.

• Mentor and offer technical direction to other analysts and team members.

• Contribute to the advancement of organizational business intelligence practices, methodologies, and technical skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

• Possess 8 years of relevant professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data visualization, or a related technical area.

• Have at least 3 years of experience working with AI technologies to support analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or related solutions.

• Exhibit advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.

• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and Power BI semantic models.

• Have experience in designing and implementing complex business intelligence solutions from requirements through to deployment and maintenance.

• Show advanced capability in analyzing large and complex datasets to identify significant patterns, trends, and insights.

• Experience in translating intricate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business and organizational stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of business intelligence principles, data visualization practices, analytical methodologies, and data-driven decision-making.

• Experience in evaluating BI solution performance and suggesting improvements to scalability, usability, efficiency, and maintainability.

• Ability to function as a technical expert across multiple concurrent assignments.

• Strong understanding of emerging AI and analytics technologies and their relevance to business intelligence.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience supporting federal government customers or in government contracting environments.

• Hold Microsoft Power BI or related Microsoft certifications.

• Experience in establishing Power BI governance, development standards, security models, and enterprise BI practices.

• Experience with advanced statistical analysis, predictive analytics, or machine learning.

• Experience in leading BI strategy, modernization, or enterprise analytics initiatives.
