This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Establish team-level standards for AI-enhanced development via prompt engineering and validation frameworks.
• Detect and address security vulnerabilities and excessive abstraction in AI-generated code, while monitoring team productivity metrics.
• Design, construct, and sustain highly available cloud-native infrastructures.
• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines and tools for developers.
• Implement and uphold platform security measures and compliance standards.
• Contribute to the roadmap for monitoring, tracing, alerting, and system observability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to convert technical requirements into scalable platform solutions.
• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Lead incident response efforts for services owned by the team.
• Advocate for modern engineering best practices.
• Manage complex features from initial concept through to production, partnering with engineering leads on platform abstractions and enhancing developer experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or backend engineering.
• Proven history of developing scalable, cloud-native environments utilizing AWS and Kubernetes.
• Strong expertise in using AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot for deploying production code.
• Capability to assess AI-generated code for security vulnerabilities or architectural inaccuracies.
• Implementation of rigorous testing strategies.
• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• High proficiency in Java and Python; knowledge of Golang is a bonus.
• Experience in building robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Ability to take charge of complex projects while balancing rapid execution with architectural integrity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with distributed engineering and product teams.

• Preferred: experience in fast-paced startup environments, financial systems or real-money transactions, regulatory compliance, internal developer tools or CLI applications, and leading small project teams.
