This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and oversee internal enterprise platforms that enhance delivery efficiency, deployment safety, and operational reliability.
• Lead initiatives for enterprise observability, automated CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and compliance automation.
• Minimize operational toil and standardize environment configurations across various vendors and integrated business applications.
• Architect, construct, and sustain scalable automated UI and API test suites utilizing Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create automated data generation tools and synthetic applicant profile generators using Python and REST APIs.
• Develop front-end tools in React and TypeScript for vendors and government stakeholders to create test scenarios and monitor pipeline status.
• Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines incorporating quality gates and feature-driven promotion practices.
• Create reusable engineering patterns, self-service platform capabilities, CLI utilities, and starter kits.
• Conduct code reviews and offer one-on-one mentorship.
• Act as a technical liaison to client leads and external vendor teams.
• Assist with cloud infrastructure updates utilizing Terraform.
• Integrate automated security scanning and ensure continuous compliance within a FedRAMP/Public Trust environment.
• Collaborate on systems that support tens of millions of American students and borrowers.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in developing full-stack applications and tooling with TypeScript and Python.
• Practical experience in writing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience designing intricate systems that interact with external services, databases, and third-party APIs.
• Background in working on cross-functional agile teams.
• Experience in estimating complex engineering tasks.
• Ability to communicate technical updates directly to client stakeholders.
• Strong diagnostic abilities for resolving complex, distributed multi-vendor application failures and microservices issues.
• Previous involvement in federal government digital service projects or civic tech programs.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud environments.
• Understanding of FedRAMP compliance standards.
• Knowledge of observability tools.
• Experience in implementing synthetic test data generators or complex mock data services for enterprise integrations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Capability to fulfill additional requirements for government contracts.
• Work authorization that does not necessitate visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• May be subject to a government background check or security clearance.
• Must reside in the continental United States.
