Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for the architecture and technical coherence of a multi-product monorepo that supports various SaaS applications.

• Establish engineering patterns, standards, code organization, development workflows, and technical documentation.

• Make architectural choices concerning scalability, maintainability, and the long-term health of the platform.

• Review, enhance, and secure AI-generated code prior to its production release.

• Create processes that boost engineering velocity while upholding quality standards.

• Oversee database architecture for multi-tenant SaaS applications, including Supabase/PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and Row Level Security policies.

• Ensure data integrity, security, scalability, database performance, and reliability.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines along with automated testing processes.

• Create and sustain Playwright coverage for essential customer workflows.

• Manage production reliability, monitoring, debugging, incident response, and staging environments.

• Utilize Sentry or similar tools to detect and resolve production issues.

• Minimize customer-facing bugs and enhance product reliability.

• Build and maintain secure, scalable integrations with third-party systems and APIs.

• Collaborate with leadership and development teams to influence the technical future of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in full-stack engineering.

• At least 2 years of experience owning and maintaining production multi-tenant SaaS products.

• Demonstrated capability to work independently as a senior technical contributor.

• Experience in making architectural decisions and taking ownership of technical outcomes.

• Extensive expertise in TypeScript across modern frontend and backend SaaS applications.

• Advanced experience with Next.js App Router.

• Strong background with Supabase and PostgreSQL, including database architecture, schema design, migrations, and Row Level Security policies.

• Ability to design secure and scalable multi-tenant database structures while ensuring data integrity and performance.

• Practical experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in creating and maintaining automated testing frameworks, particularly with Playwright.

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot Workspace, or similar tools.

• Capability to review, guide, debug, and enhance AI-generated code before production.

• Understanding of contemporary SaaS architecture and the trade-offs between speed, maintainability, reliability, and scalability.

• Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting production systems using Sentry or similar observability platforms.

• Ability to build and maintain secure and scalable third-party API integrations.

• Strong written communication skills and comfort with asynchronous work.

• Availability during U.S. business hours that align with the client’s time zone.
