This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.
• Create the public API for the SDK on the main platform by adhering to idiomatic platform conventions.
• Establish feature contracts, which include core event and command variants, the design of the public API, and conformance vectors.
• Develop features within the Rust core and shell executors, taking ownership of all merged code.
• Convert OS lifecycle behaviors into SDK behaviors throughout scene phases, process death, background limitations, push wake-ups, connectivity alterations, and app extensions.
• Construct and oversee the coordinated release pipeline for XCFramework, AAR, npm packages, and sample applications, including signing, symbols, SBOM, and privacy manifest.
• Execute consumer test matrices across Xcode, AGP, R8, ABI filters, React Native, Expo, Vite, webpack, and Next.js configurations.
• Manage merchant tickets on a rotation basis by triaging issues, replaying diagnostics bundles, implementing fixes and platform tests, and releasing patch updates.
• Deliver platform-specific add-ons such as rich push notifications, in-app campaign UI, Android Binder service, FCM forwarding, App Attest, and Play Integrity.
• Ensure observability through structured logs, correlation IDs, metrics callbacks, stable error codes, diagnostics(), and selfCheck().
• Monitor annual changes to OS, Xcode, AGP, and React Native and apply updates proactively to prevent merchant issues.
• Author ADRs, changelogs, migration notes, and integration documentation.
• Over 7 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on a library, SDK, framework, or platform utilized by third-party developers.
• Extensive experience in public API design and Semantic Versioning (SemVer), including the ability to manage deprecations without disrupting existing customers.
• Profound knowledge of mobile platform lifecycles, covering aspects such as process death and restoration, background execution limits, push wake-ups, extensions, and platform services.
• Practical experience with native build systems and packaging, which encompasses publishing to package registries and resolving third-party build issues.
• Familiarity with FFI and language interoperability, including JNI/NDK on Android, C interoperability with Swift, or another production-released language boundary.
• Background in supporting third-party integrators through documentation, technical assistance, troubleshooting, and analyzing symbolicated crash reports.
• A strong testing mindset; familiarity with property-based or mutation testing is advantageous.
• Exceptional technical writing abilities, encompassing ADRs, changelogs, migration guides, and developer documentation.
• Proficient in reviewing code for both Android and iOS, identifying lifecycle, concurrency, and threading issues.
• Significant experience with AI-assisted development and coding agents, including thorough reviews, validations, and explanations of AI-generated code prior to production.
• Experience in shipping and maintaining an iOS library/SDK distributed via SPM or CocoaPods.
• Production experience with Swift 6 concurrency features, such as actors, Sendable, and structured concurrency.
• Experience in building or maintaining app extensions, preferably a Notification Service Extension.
• Practical experience with XCFrameworks, code signing, dSYMs, and privacy manifests.
• Background in shipping and maintaining an Android library/SDK distributed through Maven Central.
• Familiarity with consumer ProGuard/R8 rules and JNI/NDK, including packaging native libraries across ABIs.
• Production experience with Android lifecycle management and background execution, including process death, Doze, background restrictions, and WorkManager.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including at least one published npm package.
• Experience in building React Native native modules utilizing the New Architecture.
• Minimum AI proficiency Level L5: advanced skills in AI-assisted software development for coding, code review, testing, debugging, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, including skill files, commands, and structured prompts.
• Knowledge of context separation and sub-agents, and when to implement them for complex or parallel tasks.
