Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Architect and oversee intricate platform projects from conception to deployment.

• Empower engineering teams with robust CI/CD capabilities through reusable patterns, automation, and a security-first approach.

• Design scalable infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.

• Construct and enhance cloud-native architectures across various cloud providers while focusing on cost efficiency.

• Engineer containerized environments with sophisticated orchestration, networking, and security measures.

• Deliver internal platforms and self-service functionalities that enhance developer experience and minimize friction.

• Implement observability stacks incorporating metrics, logs, traces, and proactive alerting for improved reliability.

• Advocate for security and compliance throughout infrastructure and delivery pipelines.

• Design secure, scalable networking solutions for both hybrid and cloud environments.

• Propel continuous improvement through automation, scripting, and tooling.

• Lead and mentor engineers, nurturing collaboration and influencing technical direction.

• Diagnose complex issues, enhance performance, and strategize for capacity at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge in CI/CD, automation, and pipeline architecture.

• Proficiency in IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi) and configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Chef).

• Strong skills in AWS architecture and cost optimization strategies.

• Advanced experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

• Expertise in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).

• Security-first mindset with practical experience in access control, encryption, and incident response.

• Comprehensive networking knowledge, covering protocols, routing, firewalls, and cloud networking.

• Experience in integrating and optimizing software delivery ecosystems (Git, Artifactory, Jenkins).

• Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).

• Proven leadership, mentoring, and communication skills with stakeholders.

• A talent for resolving complex problems and enhancing systems.
