Senior Planner, Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive management of finished goods material from order intake through conversion and delivery to the customer.

• Anticipate vendor demand and initiate purchase orders accordingly.

• Regulate inventory levels and ensure service to manufacturing facilities.

• Carry out purchasing transactions for specific manufacturing sites.

• Act as the primary contact for changes in raw materials and inventory levels.

• Maintain master data related to MRP information for resins and raw materials.

• Collaborate with production planners and plant schedulers to troubleshoot issues and reach consensus on supply strategies.

• Relay process and service challenges to Business Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, Production Planning, and Technical Service.

• Align supply with demand on both short-term and long-term scales.

• Manage inventory investments to minimize working capital expenditures.

• Analyze data for safety stock levels, ERQs, and forecasting needs.

• Supply data to back manufacturing and business initiatives.

• Identify and execute supply chain optimization opportunities aimed at reducing costs and enhancing service levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a comparable field of experience.

• Master’s degree in Operations Management or a related field of experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• At least 5 years of experience in data management.

• Five years of experience in purchasing and materials within a manufacturing context.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning.
