Senior Patient Access Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Interact with patients, referral sources, sales teams, pharmacy, and nursing staff to facilitate discharge and ensure nursing and delivery coordination.

• Generate, communicate, and secure all necessary documentation for new referrals.

• Obtain upfront payments from patients, assisting them in exploring payment options and directing them to financial assistance programs.

• Support efforts to guarantee clean claims management and denial resolution, including following up on any missing documentation.

• Aid the Supervisor and Manager with special projects, including serving as a backup for the Lead Specialist.

• Relay opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions to present to PRM.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in the Infusion Therapy Industry.

• Availability to work in Mountain or Pacific Time zones.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• For Internal Candidates: At least 1 year of experience as a Patient Registration Specialist.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and support various referrals/priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Must possess strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Exceptional customer service skills are essential.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across sales and operational functions.

• Previous experience in healthcare or medical billing is preferred.
