Senior Oracle Integration – API Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain integration interfaces between Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and federal HR systems.

• Engineer bidirectional payroll integration interfaces with federal payroll shared service providers, implementing HCM Extract and payroll costing workflows.

• Construct and configure OIC integration flows utilizing adapters, orchestration patterns, error handling, and retry logic.

• Implement integration endpoints via the federal APIM gateway using OAuth 2.0, REST/JSON, and OpenAPI 3.0.

• Develop event-driven, webhook-based, near-real-time integrations for benefits enrollment, payroll modifications, and personnel action notifications.

• Design and establish integration monitoring dashboards, alerting rules, and automated error recovery workflows.

• Create and maintain technical design documents, interface control documents, data mapping specifications, and API documentation.

• Support FEHB Data Hub integrations concerning enrollment, reconciliation, and premium remittance exchanges.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers on FIPS 140-3 encryption, CUI protocols, and SCIM 2.0 identity provisioning compliance.

• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and integration testing.

• Support parallel payroll validation testing through automated comparison tools.

• Act as a recognized technical authority across multiple workstreams or Agile Release Trains.

• Lead and mentor both technical and functional team members while providing technical insights to senior program leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be able to secure and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience; additional experience may replace degree requirements.

• Over 10 years of professional experience in integration development, API engineering, or enterprise middleware.

• At least 8 years of practical experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite, or similar platforms.

• Strong expertise in REST API development, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenAPI 3.0 specification design.

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM APIs, including SOAP/REST, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, BIP, and BI Publisher.

• Proven experience with SFTP, message queuing, and batch file-based enterprise integration patterns.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.

• Experience working within SAFe Agile environments.

• Preferred: Over 11 years of integration engineering experience with significant work in Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle ERP Cloud.

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Oracle Integration Cloud certification is preferred.

• Experience integrating with federal HR systems such as EHRI, eOPF, USA Staffing, NFC, DFAS, and Employee Express is preferred.

• Familiarity with federal APIM architecture and FedRAMP-authorized integration environments is preferred.

• Experience with event-driven architectures, webhooks, or streaming integration patterns is preferred.

• Knowledge of federal data standards, including EHRI XML schemas, EDF/FDF/IDF formats, and HR-XML is preferred.

• Scripting skills in Python, Groovy, or JavaScript for transformation logic and automated testing is preferred.

• Experience with Oracle Cloud technologies (OIC and/or OCI) in enterprise HCM/ERP settings is preferred.
