Senior Fullstack Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain comprehensive fullstack solutions utilizing Python or a combination of Python and Java for the backend, alongside JavaScript for the frontend.

• Create and enhance contemporary, responsive user interfaces while integrating them with backend services and APIs.

• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and application components.

• Take ownership of technical solutions from the analysis of requirements and architectural design through to implementation and deployment.

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database structures, queries, functions, triggers, and views.

• Utilize AI-powered development tools and AI-assisted coding methodologies.

• Investigate AI-driven automation and innovative engineering solutions.

• Construct rapid prototypes and validate technical concepts.

• Engage in technical planning, solution design, testing, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional international teams to align business needs with technical solutions.

• Identify avenues for continuous improvement, automation, and technical optimization.

• Advocate for engineering best practices, clean code, maintainability, and modern software development standards.

• Contribute to a banking application that serves as a cross-asset post-trade execution platform for a prominent financial group in Japan.

• Work on integrations with third-party trade matching and settlement services, large-scale financial data processing, Trade Blotter, and position reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Over 5 years of commercial experience in software engineering, ideally in fullstack or backend-oriented roles.

• Strong commercial proficiency in Python.

• Practical experience in JavaScript and frontend development using frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.

• Comprehensive understanding of fullstack application architecture, frontend-backend integration, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

• Robust experience with PostgreSQL, encompassing database design, query optimization, indexes, views, functions, and triggers.

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming, software design principles, and clean code practices.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies.

• An AI-first mindset with a willingness to utilize AI tools, automation, and emerging technologies.

• Capability to tackle technical challenges while considering business requirements, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Experience with CI/CD processes, version control systems, and contemporary software development practices.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, independence, and a readiness to take ownership of technical solutions.

• Nice to have: experience in banking, fintech, or financial services.

• Nice to have: familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Nice to have: experience with Docker and containerized applications.

• Nice to have: knowledge of Linux operating systems.

• Nice to have: experience with TypeScript and modern frontend architectures.
