Senior Oracle Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver database administration support for essential applications in both production and non-production settings.

• Ensure the availability of databases.

• Manage Oracle databases on RHEL, Windows, and various other operating systems.

• Install and configure Oracle Server 19c/23i RAC on multi-node configurations.

• Set up and maintain Oracle Cloud Control.

• Upgrade Oracle databases as necessary.

• Design effective backup strategies and ensure that backups are performed correctly.

• Proactively oversee and uphold security standards and controls.

• Apply Oracle security patches and bug fixes in both non-production and production environments.

• Manage Oracle GoldenGate, including creating extracts, replicating data, monitoring replication, and troubleshooting issues.

• Implement security protocols such as SSL and encryption.

• Create and support database maintenance scripts.

• Develop and maintain documentation for database design and support.

• Configure Active Data Guard and set up automatic failover using Data Guard Broker.

• Configure container and pluggable databases.

• Provide 24x7 on-call support.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams in both on-premises and cloud environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.

• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Control 13c or later.

• Operating system proficiency in Linux.

• 3 years of experience with Oracle GoldenGate.

• 3 years of experience in administering Oracle RAC.

• Proficient with Oracle management tools such as Data Guard, Active Data Guard, RMAN, and Data Loader.

• Experience in administering databases on Exadata and Azure.

• Knowledge of Oracle Partitioning.

• Strong skills in Unix scripting.

• Expertise in Oracle Database administration.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Self-motivated individual.

• Capability to work collaboratively in a team while taking individual responsibility.

• Preferred experience in PostgreSQL database administration.

• Preferred experience in MongoDB administration.

• Oracle Certified Professional credential is preferred.
