Senior Oracle Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver database administration support for mission-critical applications in both production and non-production settings.

• Ensure the availability of databases.

• Manage Oracle databases across RHEL, Windows, and various operating systems.

• Install and configure Oracle Server 19c/23c RAC on multi-node architectures.

• Set up and maintain Oracle Cloud Control.

• Upgrade Oracle databases as necessary.

• Develop and oversee a dependable backup strategy.

• Ensure that backups are performed correctly.

• Manage and uphold security standards and protocols.

• Apply Oracle security patches and bug fixes in both production and non-production environments.

• Administer Oracle GoldenGate, including the creation of extracts, replication, monitoring of replication, and troubleshooting.

• Implement security measures such as SSL and encryption.

• Create and support database maintenance scripts.

• Develop and maintain documentation for database design and support.

• Configure Active Data Guard and automatic failover using Data Guard Broker.

• Set up container and pluggable databases.

• Provide 24x7 on-call support.

• Work collaboratively with development and infrastructure teams across on-premises and cloud environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Oracle database administration.

• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Control 13c or later.

• Experience with Linux operating systems.

• At least 3 years of experience with Oracle GoldenGate.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Oracle RAC administration.

• Proficiency with Oracle management tools, including Data Guard, Active Data Guard, RMAN, and Data Loader.

• Experience managing databases on Exadata and Azure.

• Knowledge of Oracle Partitioning.

• Strong Unix scripting capabilities.

• Expertise in Oracle Database Administration.

• Capability to provide 24x7 on-call support.

• Preferred experience in PostgreSQL database administration.

• Preferred experience in MongoDB administration.

• Oracle Certified Professional designation preferred.

• Strong skills in problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and individual accountability.
