Senior Operations Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate incidents that impact mission-critical applications and services

• Direct root cause investigations and manage corrective and preventive measures

• Establish monitoring strategies and performance benchmarks

• Assist with deployments, releases, and activities related to operational readiness

• Facilitate troubleshooting efforts among infrastructure, middleware, and application teams

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at automation and operational excellence

• Generate operational reports, conduct performance analyses, and provide improvement suggestions

• Support a European agency that operates extensive digital services

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in enterprise operations and application support

• Extensive knowledge in incident, problem, and change management

• Experience in supporting containerized and cloud-native environments

• Outstanding analytical and troubleshooting abilities

• Strong communication skills and effective stakeholder coordination

• Experience working in international and multi-vendor settings

• Proficiency in Linux / Unix

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Git/GitHub

• Proficient in Prometheus and Grafana

• Knowledge of the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash/Vector, Kibana)

• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools

• Familiarity with Kafka/Event Streaming platforms

• Understanding of API Gateways and Integration Platforms

• Skills in scripting and automation
