Senior Operations Reliability Engineer – IAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance the reliability and resilience of enterprise identity services for a global workforce.

• Take ownership of the complete resolution of IAM-related incidents to minimize business disruption.

• Monitor and analyze observability and AIOps signals effectively.

• Correlate events across IAM platforms and related systems to pinpoint root causes.

• Refine alert thresholds, suppression logic, and detection rules as necessary.

• Validate and improve automated remediation workflows.

• Collaborate with cloud, network, security, and endpoint teams.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of identity event data.

• Contribute to post-incident analysis and the implementation of scalable solutions.

• Resolve and optimize workflows for identity provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Confirm that IAM monitoring and operational requirements are satisfied for new application onboarding.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience is required.

• Over 5 years of experience in IAM operations, identity platforms, or enterprise IT operations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong knowledge in authentication, authorization, SSO, provisioning, and identity lifecycle management.

• Practical experience in administering and supporting Okta within enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.

• Capability to troubleshoot SSO, provisioning workflows, authentication failures, and certificate issues.

• Understanding of incident management, event correlation, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in complex operational settings.

• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

• Participation in a shared, rotational on-call schedule is mandatory.

• Preferred: Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or REST APIs.

• Preferred: Knowledge of observability platforms, AIOps tools, and event management systems.

• Preferred: Familiarity with automation frameworks and self-healing system design.

• Preferred: Experience with identity integrations across SaaS platforms and cloud environments.
