This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in the development, validation, and support of genomic biomarker assays.
• Assist with experimental and study design as well as protocol formulation.
• Conduct statistical data analysis and establish methods for process monitoring.
• Create comprehensive study reports.
• Act as a subject matter authority for regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and statistical partners.
• Choose and modify statistical techniques based on specific goals.
• Utilize both theoretical and applied statistics.
• Execute statistical programming and analysis using tools such as SAS, R, or Python.
• Work alongside scientists, pathologists, oncologists, and representatives from commercial, legal, and business development sectors.
• Ensure adherence to the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
• Travel between Abbott Cancer Diagnostics locations, with an estimated travel commitment of around 5% of work time, which may include overnight or weekend trips.
• Master’s degree in Biostatistics or a related field as detailed in the essential duties.
• Over 6 years of pertinent experience.
• Professional expertise in theoretical and applied statistics.
• Proficient statistical programming capabilities in SAS, R, or Python.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal, written, graphical communication, and presentation abilities.
• Capacity to seek and incorporate feedback in a professional manner.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
• Preferred: PhD in Biostatistics or over 9 years of relevant industry experience.
• Preferred: Statistical experience in molecular diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or medical device development.
• Preferred: Background in oncology.
• Preferred: Experience in developing products for regulatory approval, such as with the FDA.
