Senior Network Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary clinical leader for relationships with healthcare providers in the Western Region.

• Offer guidance to senior clinical specialists.

• Provide support for other regions as necessary during team expansion.

• Collaborate with Network, analytics, and actuarial teams to assess provider performance regarding total cost of care, quality, and experience.

• Develop engagement strategies with providers, determining areas for expansion or reduction of relationships.

• Take responsibility for the performance of provider groups concerning cost, quality, and experience, including MA Stars measures.

• Work collaboratively as part of the medical affairs network leadership team to enhance provider performance across all business lines.

• Ensure the timely execution of deliverables in line with due dates and federal/state regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree.

• Active and current medical license (MD or DO) free from encumbrances.

• Board Certification, including Maintenance of Certification in the specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managed care, value-based care, and quality.

• At least 3 years of experience specifically in value-based care and quality.

• Proven ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed organization/environment.

• Capability to engage with individuals at all levels, including physicians, vendors, community partners, administrative leaders, clinical leaders, and staff.

• Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change with enthusiasm.

• Ability to work virtually, with occasional travel required for in-person meetings.
