Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Strategize, implement, and oversee hardware infrastructure.

• Collaborate with on-site technical staff.

• Ensure equipment availability is aligned with demand.

• Oversee inventory management and equipment retirement.

• Administer cabinet planning, equipment tracking, documentation, and firmware updates.

• Supervise and maintain data centers, networks, and servers on a global scale.

• Communicate with data center Network Operations Centers via phone, email, and web portals.

• Install and troubleshoot servers, storage systems, routers, switches, and other hardware.

• Execute hardware, cabling, firmware, and software installations both on-site and remotely.

• Manage hardware decommissioning projects, including disposal and data destruction.

• Handle the shipping and receiving of networking equipment.

• Conduct data center migration and hardware platform upgrade initiatives.

• Coordinate data center deployments from hardware requisitions to rack design.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.

• Experience in a NOC environment with practical hardware expertise.

• Proficient knowledge of computer hardware and networking equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities within a large-scale data center environment.

• Familiarity with Linux system administration, server management, and internals.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
