Security Engineer – Network Edge Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Address and manage emerging threats and attacks at the network perimeter utilizing WAF rules, bot vendors, and CDN-native technologies.

• Develop infrastructure that enhances the inventory of network edge security posture.

• Create and sustain a near-real-time streaming analytics data pipeline and application.

• Assist in labeling and the development of machine learning models.

• Oversee and maintain systems throughout the build, deployment, and production monitoring phases.

• Program using Java, Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, PySpark, and other relevant languages.

• Assess and develop integrations with vendor systems.

• Create and implement AI-driven functionalities to identify and mitigate abusive traffic patterns.

• Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to comprehend the problem space and evaluate solution effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software or security engineering, developing scalable production software that includes testing, evaluation, and monitoring.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, and Python.

• Skilled in data analysis using SQL and Spark.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining applications within both CDN (Cloudflare and Fastly) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.

• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, and Datadog is highly advantageous.
