Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engineer, implement, and maintain the TNS Global IP backbone network.

• Provide Ethernet-based services in accordance with the Metro Ethernet Forum standards.

• Design and maintain routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS, EIGRP, OSPF, and PIM.

• Design and manage WAN/LAN topologies.

• Create and oversee MPLS networks.

• Design and support data center operations.

• Design and manage load balancers.

• Evaluate vendors and hardware, offering informed recommendations.

• Prepare equipment and design specifications for budgetary considerations.

• Identify challenges and propose suitable solutions.

• Provide leadership for entire projects or project teams.

• Consult on various projects and address highly technical, complex issues.

• Mentor team members and share technical expertise and knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of design and operational experience in large-scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks.

• More than 5 years of expertise in TCP/IP and routing protocols, including RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and Fast Reroute technologies.

• At least 3 years of experience in the architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services, covering Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QoS/CoS.

• Over 5 years of experience with Layer 2 Ethernet technologies.

• A minimum of 3 years of practical knowledge in Data Center design and operations.

• Proficiency in current industry WAN technologies/products, including SONET, SDH, TDM, and Metro Ethernet.

• More than 5 years of extensive hands-on experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in complex Cisco and/or Juniper-based networks.

• Familiarity with command-line interfaces.

• Proficient in using network monitoring and analysis tools, such as SolarWinds and Splunk.

• B.S. degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.

• Certification in relevant Cisco and Juniper technologies.
