Senior Network Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and architecture of sophisticated network solutions encompassing LAN, WAN, Data Center, Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud environments.

• Create scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performance network architectures.

• Establish network technology standards, best practices, architectural principles, and technology roadmaps.

• Assess networking technologies and propose adoption based on both business and technical needs.

• Spearhead strategic network initiatives that align with long-term technological and business objectives.

• Manage and lead network projects from start to finish.

• Collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders.

• Provide technical expertise, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to network engineering and operations teams.

• Oversee relationships with network vendors, service providers, cloud providers, and technology partners.

• Enhance network performance, resilience, availability, and Quality of Service (QoS).

• Stay informed about emerging networking technologies and industry trends.

• Produce high-level network documentation, including architecture diagrams, HLD/LLD documents, configuration templates, standards, and technical guidelines.

• Conduct network capacity planning.

• Offer architectural guidance for network transformation, modernization, migration, and optimization efforts.

• Facilitate architecture reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and security protocols.

• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for intricate network architecture, performance, and connectivity challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15–18+ years of pertinent experience in the Network and Security field.

• Possession of an active CCIE certification is essential.

• A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in network engineering, architecture, and progressively responsible technical leadership roles.

• Significant experience within large-scale enterprise networking environments.

• Comprehensive experience in designing and architecting complex LAN and WAN environments.

• In-depth experience with network security and enterprise security architectures.

• Substantial experience with Data Center networking and connectivity.

• Extensive experience in cloud networking, including Azure and/or AWS.

• Proficient experience with SD-WAN and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.

• Demonstrated experience in network transformation, modernization, migration, and optimization projects.

• Proven background in collaboration with network vendors, ISPs, cloud providers, and technology partners.

• Strong record of providing technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering and operations teams.

• Robust experience in enterprise network architecture and design.

• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco networking.

• Strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, and Data Center networking.

• Significant experience with network security technologies.

• Comprehensive experience with cloud and hybrid network architectures.

• Proven ability to lead complex network projects and strategic initiatives.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Relevant cloud certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud are advantageous.

• Additional networking or security certifications are a plus.
