Senior Network Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and architecture of sophisticated network solutions spanning LAN, WAN, Data Center, Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud environments.

• Create scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performance network architectures.

• Establish network technology standards, best practices, architectural principles, and technology roadmaps.

• Assess networking technologies and propose adoption according to business and technical needs.

• Lead and manage network projects from beginning to end.

• Collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders.

• Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to network engineering and operations teams.

• Manage relationships with network vendors, service providers, cloud providers, and technology partners.

• Enhance network performance, resilience, availability, and QoS.

• Remain updated on emerging networking technologies and industry trends.

• Create and maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, HLD/LLD documents, configuration templates, standards, and technical guidelines.

• Conduct network capacity planning.

• Provide technical leadership for network transformation, modernization, migration, and optimization efforts.

• Facilitate architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards, security requirements, and best practices.

• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for intricate network architecture, performance, and connectivity challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15–18+ years of pertinent experience in the Network and Security domain.

• Active CCIE certification is a requirement.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in network engineering, architecture, and progressively responsible technical leadership roles.

• Significant experience in large-scale enterprise networking environments.

• Comprehensive experience in designing and architecting complex LAN and WAN environments.

• Extensive knowledge of network security and enterprise security architectures.

• Significant experience in Data Center networking and connectivity.

• Broad experience with cloud networking, including Azure and/or AWS.

• In-depth understanding of SD-WAN and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.

• Proven track record in network transformation, modernization, migration, and optimization projects.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating with network vendors, ISPs, cloud providers, and technology partners.

• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and architectural direction to engineering and operations teams.

• Strong expertise in enterprise network architecture and design.

• Expert-level Cisco networking experience.

• Proficient in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, and Data Center networking.

• Solid experience with network security technologies.

• Strong background in cloud and hybrid network architectures.

• Proven experience leading complex network projects and strategic initiatives.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to work effectively with global teams, senior leadership, vendors, service providers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
