This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Recruit, assess, contract with, and sustain relationships with physicians, hospitals, ancillary, and other providers within designated regions.
• Ensure network adequacy while facilitating strategic growth into new counties and markets.
• Investigate potential providers, perform due diligence, and prioritize outreach efforts based on network requirements.
• Establish provider relationships through cold calling, email communication, and consultative discussions.
• Initiate, negotiate, and finalize managed care contracts, including agreements with intricate providers and large medical groups.
• Clarify contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers.
• Evaluate the financial implications of proposed contract terms.
• Maintain precise contracts, outreach activities, and supporting documentation within tracking systems.
• Exercise sound judgment in ambiguous circumstances while ensuring alignment with departmental strategies and organizational goals.
• Handle multiple priorities in a dynamic remote setting.
• Contribute to ongoing process enhancements.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4–8 years of experience in negotiating and managing managed care contracts with physicians, hospitals, ancillary providers, and/or other healthcare entities.
• Experience in Medicare Advantage contracting.
• Familiarity with Medicare Special Needs Plans, including I-SNP and C-SNP, is an advantage.
• Experience in value-based contracting and/or a strong grasp of value-based care principles.
• Proven history of working with complex providers, including large institutional providers, large medical groups, and ancillary organizations.
• Strong capabilities in provider outreach, prospecting, relationship-building, research, and due diligence.
• Confidence in initiating cold calls and email outreach, as well as presenting the value of network participation.
• Ability to comprehend and convey contract terms, reimbursement structures, payment methodologies, and financial impacts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Capability to work independently, make informed decisions with minimal guidance, and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship; the company cannot offer sponsorship for a visa.
