Senior Network Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and architecture of sophisticated LAN, WAN, Data Center, Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud network solutions.

• Create scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performance network architectures.

• Establish network technology standards, best practices, architectural principles, and technology roadmaps.

• Assess networking technologies and propose adoption based on both business and technical needs.

• Direct and manage network projects from initiation to completion.

• Work collaboratively with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders.

• Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to network engineering and operations teams.

• Manage relationships with network vendors, service providers, cloud providers, and technology partners.

• Enhance network performance, resilience, availability, and operational efficiency.

• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, HLD/LLD documents, configuration templates, standards, and technical guidelines.

• Conduct network capacity planning.

• Provide technical leadership for initiatives focused on network transformation, modernization, migration, and optimization.

• Lead architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards and security protocols.

• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for intricate network architecture, performance, and connectivity challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Location: Pune, India – Remote.

• 15–18+ years of relevant experience in the Network and Security domain.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Active CCIE certification is a must.

• Extensive experience in network engineering, architecture, and progressively responsible technical leadership roles.

• Significant experience working in large-scale enterprise networking environments.

• Deep experience in designing and architecting complex LAN and WAN environments.

• Extensive background in network security and enterprise security architectures.

• Profound experience with Data Center networking and connectivity.

• Substantial experience in cloud networking, including Azure and/or AWS.

• Comprehensive experience with SD-WAN and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.

• Proven track record in network transformation, modernization, migration, and optimization initiatives.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating with network vendors, ISPs, cloud providers, and technology partners.

• Established experience providing technical leadership and architectural direction to engineering and operations teams.

• Expert-level Cisco networking experience.

• Strong proficiency in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, and Data Center networking.

• Extensive experience with network security technologies.

• Significant experience with cloud and hybrid network architectures.

• Proven experience leading complex network projects and strategic initiatives.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work effectively with global teams, senior leadership, vendors, service providers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
