Senior .NET Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services utilizing C# and .NET 8+.

• Implement Clean Architecture, SOLID, and KISS principles to ensure code is modular, reusable, and straightforward.

• Construct event-driven and asynchronous integrations using Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.

• Model, query, and optimize relational databases like PostgreSQL and SQL Server through Entity Framework Core.

• Engage with document databases such as MongoDB as necessary.

• Establish secure authentication and authorization processes using OAuth2/OIDC and JWT.

• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests utilizing xUnit, NSubstitute, and Bogus.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, including Azure DevOps and YAML pipelines, while adhering to branching strategies like GitFlow.

• Instrument services for observability by incorporating structured logging, metrics, and tracing to assist in diagnosing production issues.

• Review code, including AI-generated code, to maintain quality, security, and performance standards.

• Participate in code reviews, technical refinement, estimation, and mentor junior developers.

• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into pragmatic and maintainable solutions.

• Work closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and Frontend teams in a multicultural, fast-paced delivery environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a backend developer working with C# and .NET, preferably .NET 8+, including production-level RESTful APIs.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, and Clean Architecture.

• Practical experience with MediatR, AutoMapper, and Entity Framework Core.

• Proficient in relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server, including data modeling and query optimization.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging technologies, such as Azure Service Bus, Rebus, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or equivalent.

• Practical application of AI tools in software development, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI APIs, or similar, including AI-assisted code generation, testing, and refactoring.

• Experience in building autonomous or semi-autonomous agents for software development, or knowledge of prompt engineering and evaluating AI output quality.

• Background in automated testing, encompassing unit and integration testing and the use of test doubles.

• Working knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose.

• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, Application Insights, or the ELK Stack.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps, or comparable tools.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset.

• Proficient in spoken and written English (upper-intermediate or above).

• Nice to have: Knowledge of CQRS and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Nice to have: Experience with MongoDB, including document modeling and aggregation.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using technologies like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.

• Nice to have: Exposure to a frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue, including API integration from the client side.
