📋 Description

• Lead the research and development of innovative motion-planning algorithms for autonomous driving.

• Design and integrate motion-planning and prediction algorithms for implementation in real-world scenarios.

• Create robust, scalable, and high-performance software for prototyping and assessing motion-planning methodologies.

• Collaborate with upstream perception and prediction components as well as downstream trajectory optimization, tracking, and control elements.

• Utilize software development and research expertise to enhance software practices and principles.

• Mentor and guide junior team members.

• Develop safe, comfortable, and intuitive routes and motions for production-ready autonomous vehicles.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD preferred in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline; or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience in robotics, ideally within the AV industry.

• Over 5 years of research experience in robotics and motion planning.

• Demonstrated success in contributing to state-of-the-art solutions.

• More than 3 years of experience in C++ software development.

• Proven experience in developing high-performance and reliable systems.

• Experience in leading the technical development of complex features, from problem identification through research, implementation, and deployment in a production setting.

• Familiarity with probabilistic models, Bayesian modeling and inference techniques, and the Bazel build framework is a plus, but not required.
